Communities
An Indigenous-owned company, at your community's service
Masko Développement inc. is owned by an Atikamekw and works out of La Tuque, Quebec. We design, build and host custom digital tools — from the first draft through to monthly maintenance.
What we will not claim
We have not delivered to a council yet
We could write « specialists in Indigenous communities » and put up photographs. Plenty of companies do. You would find out on the first call that nobody there has ever worked with a council.
Here is what is true today: two businesses use our tools every week. A restaurant takes its orders online through a system we built and maintain. A real estate broker has a website whose listings stay current on their own. These are running tools, not demonstrations.
The first council to work with Masko will be the first. We would rather tell you now than let you find out later.
Whatever the project
What will not change
The rest depends on what you want built. These five do not.
When you call, I am the one who answers
The person building the tool is the person you are speaking to, from the first call through to the monthly maintenance.
The first call is free
Thirty minutes, no commitment. We tell you right away whether it is something we can do — and if it is not, we say that too.
A fixed price, known before the work starts
No hourly rate that grows. The amount is written into the contract before the first line of code.
Your data stays yours
We host the tool, not your records. No dependency on a Masko account to reach them.
If Masko ever shut down
The source code is handed over to you. That is not a promise in passing: it is written into the contract.
